TOPIC: New Jersey Vapor Intrusion Guidance Update and a Preview of Pennsylvania’s New Vapor Intrusion Guidance
Vapor Intrusion science and technology continue to evolve and regulations, technical guidance and screening levels continue to change.
In March 2013, NJDEP issued revised Vapor Intrusion Technical Guidance and Screening Levels. This technical program discusses: recent
changes in NJDEP technical guidance and screening levels for Vapor Intrusion programs, technical approaches for site
investigation and preemptive mitigation, practical considerations, best practices, multiple lines of evidence, and application of professional
judgment.

In April 2014, NJDEP issued the Analytical Technical Guidance which defines Data of Known Quality Protocols (DKQPs), the QAPP preparation
process, and the Data Usability Evaluation (DUE) and Data Quality Assessment (DQA) processes.
